Cheshire Homes Durban Staff

Cheshire Homes Durban has a wide range of programmes. Each of these programmes requires staff who are dedicated to their work and passionate about providing a service to the disabled.

Cheshire Homes Durban has a Manager, a finance administrator, and clerks. In addition, each Home has a multi-disciplinary team comprising Professional Nurses, Social Auxiliary Workers, Physio Assistants, House Mothers, caregivers and ECD Practitioners. Other staff include Cooks, Laundry Assistants, Maintenance Officers, Drivers, Security Guards, Gardeners and Cleaners.


Volunteers play a pivotal role by assisting with relieving care and administrative staff, hair-dressing, cooking, accompanying children and adult residents on outings. Prospective volunteers may apply on the linked form found HERE. Selected volunteers will be required to attend a 2 day orientation course, they will also be issued with an orientation pack. Applications are open each year from February to end of April.
